Speak out against coal export at Cherry Point
We need everyone submitting a comment about the proposed coal terminal north of Bellingham, WA.
Say no to the Tongue River Coal Railway
We need as many people as possible to speak out and ask for the Surface Transportation Board to deny the permit for the Tongue River coal-hauling expansion. The Tongue River Railroad Company permit is to build a line through the Tongue River Valley. This long-proposed project renews their attempt to cut the valley in half, abusing the power of eminent domain to destroy good Montana ranchland for coal export. This isn’t just an issue for Montana residents, but a core piece to the plan needed by the coal companies to get their coal to the West Coast. Deadline is 1/11/13.
Call on Army Corps to look at cumulative impacts of all coal export proposals
Tell the Army Corps of Engineers we need to have a clear, comprehensive, and cumulative review of the risks and threats of coal exports on our communities — from mine to rail, and from port to plant, and from plant to our region’s airshed!
